Membership Fees

Fees are required to become a member of the NB Dental Assistants Association.  All fees received before June 1st of each year must be renewed on October 1st of the same year.  Fees received after June 1st are renewable October 1st of the following year.

Summary of Fees for a Level II Dental Assistant in New Brunswick:

First-Time Members

$135 to NBDAA with your membership application form with proof of 12 continuing education points and copies of the following documents;

  • Dental Assisting School Diploma
  • Clinical Practice Evaluation (CPE) if graduated from a non accredited dental assisting school
  • Your National Dental Assisting Examining Board Certificate (NDAEB)

Malpractice Insurance is included with your regular membership effective February 1, 2016.

Membership Renewals

$135 to NBDAA annually with the renewal form and proof of 12 continuing education points.

Membership Renewal Date: 

On or before October 1st annually

(Renewals received after October 1st are subject to a late fee of $10.00 per month for each month but is not applicable to first time members)

A receipt will be issued with each new or renewal membership received.

In August you will receive a renewal form, information about the point system and appropriate verification.

During membership renewal, it’s a great time to read and remind ourselves of our Code of Ethics.

Licensure with New Brunswick Dental Society

Initial fee of $165.00 to NBDS with your license application

Renewal fee of $135.00 annually

License Renewal Date:  On or before October 31st annually or visit the NBDS website at the following link http://www.nbdental.com

Please note:  The Suture Removal Module will be required by June 7, 2008.  If you graduated in 1994 or earlier, this module was not included in the dental assisting program at that time.  Each dental assistant is responsible to notify the NBDS of their suture removal module. 

“Currently licensed Level II dental assistants who lack training in suture removal shall provide proof of training to the NBDS Registrar by June 7, 2008.”
